For our community

The Trust has always endeavoured to ensure Moffat Town Hall provides a facility that meets the needs of the community. The Town Hall has for a number years been a popular venue for Saturday coffee mornings which are available to local community groups within DG10 to enable fund raising for their different projects.

The Trust supports Moffat Academy in many ways by the holding the Prom and Halloween/Christmas parties and hopes to continue the development of this worthwhile relationship. From 2015-2020, the Trust ran three very successful social clubs based on the needs of the community.

As of August 2021, the reopening of these clubs post-pandemic has started and it is hopeful that we can return to some form of activity as the future dictates. Prior to COVID 19, Moffat Town Hall was fast becoming an event centre promoting Traditional Scottish Entertainment, Theatrical Entertainment, Exhibitions, Dances, Auctioneering etc.

Our own Moffat Farmers Market comes under the umbrella of Moffat Town Hall along with a successful weekly Meals on Wheels service.
